How do I retrieve All Bank Transactions back to January?2024-02-03T14:09:10+00:00

To get started importing your bank transactions, head over to the Setup page and open the “Connect Bank Data” page. You’ll be prompted to connect securely with your bank username/password. After connecting your bank, we go and retrieve the latest 30 days of bank transactions. You can optionally click on the button that says pull transactions from as far back as Jan 1st of the year. However, some banks only allow us to retrieve back 6 months worth of data. We then pull transactions nightly from those accounts.

Our pricing is based on subscription and feature level. The initial software was focused on Salon Bookkeeping and Accounting and only costs $7.99. We think it’s a pretty good deal compared to Quickbooks and other complex accounting apps that start at $30 USD/month. Additionally, the Appointments features compare to those of StyleSeat and DaySmart Salon, at a fraction of the price at $14.99. Sign up for the free trial and check out the features for yourself! To subscribe, navigate to Setup > Subscription within your account and key-in your credit card information. Your credit card is securely held by Stripe payment processing.

To change the credit card you have on file for your subscription, start by navigating to Setup -> View Subscription. Then click on the [Change Credit Card] button on the bottom of the page and you should be able to enter in your new credit card information. Note that this feature works on the web version of Salon Accounting and mobile app users will be redirected to the web browser.

To print a report within Salon Accounting, you’ll need to be on the web based version of Salon Accounting. Then you can print any screen, File > Print (Ctrl + P or Cmd+P on Mac). You’ll most likely want to print out the weekly journal at a specific week in the year OR you can navigate to the reporting screen and print out a given month, quarter, or date range.  The screen print should have all the information you need to produce quarterly or end of year tax prep for yourself or an accountant.

Your trial will automatically expire at the end of the 14 day trial. Your data will be accessible in the future if you do decide you want to come back and subscribe.

If you are paying for a subscription, you can unsubscribe at any time and your account will be active until the end of the subscription term (30 days since last payment).  To unsubscribe, login to your account and go to Settings > Subscription and click the [Unsubscribe] button.

Financial data is incredibly important and sensitive and we ensure that only your eyes have access to it. Your connection to this site uses a secure connection to ensure your data is not hacked. We secure all traffic to the web application and mobile apps through SHA-256 with RSA Encryption TLS Certificates.

Although the trial is a 14 day trial, we try to prevent users from signing up for an account at the end of the year and using Salon Accounting for all its calculations and reporting, without actually registering for a subscription. So if you are in the trial and you have inputted more than 12 weeks of data, we stop the trial and ask that you subscribe to the application. Sorry for the inconvenience during the trial.

Can I upload my business receipts?2023-01-06T12:52:24+00:00

Our software provides you the ability to upload photos of your receipts, either through the website or the mobile app’s camera. You can store an unlimited number of receipts and we hold on to them as long as your account is active with us. We do not extract details like business, amount, category, etc., from the receipt today, however this is a feature we have considered and may make it into future releases of the software! Our service is comparable to websites like Shoeboxed, that charges $18/month, but this feature is included in your base accounting subscription.
